Prevention Time & Mission Trips to South Africa

Date: August 28, 2016 - September 11, 2016

Newport Hills Community Church is excited to partner with Prevention Time.  Prevention Time exists to help save the next generation in Africa from becoming infected with HIV and to assist those who are infected or affected by the virus.  They train and empower Peer Educators to teach and serve in schools, prisons, community centers, and more.  Peer Educators are young adults from the community who are familiar with the language, culture, and community resources.  They are often invited into schools to teach on a weekly basis about moral values and life skills, using the Reach4Life curriculum and Bibles.

Every other year, a small group from the Seattle area travels to South Africa to work alongside the Peer Educators in serving.

There are many ways that you can join us in partnering!
